Dead body goes unnoticed next to pump at busy gas station
A dead body sat unnoticed at a busy Utah gas station for nearly 10 hours over the weekend.
Surveillance tapes show that the 28-year-old man parked his Lexus next to the gas pump around 2 p.m. on Saturday. His body was discovered in the car just after midnight.
"What does concern us is the amount of time it took to discover this person," a police spokesman tells the local newspaper. "I don't want to chew out the public, but it makes me scratch my head how people can get gas next to him, see someone slumped over and not call the police and say anything. It's a two-second phone call."
They don't suspect foul play, the paper says.
